Steel mills
Steel mills have used traditionally activated carbons for many years to protect their equipment. The most obvious area of concern is the pickle line. The pickling process involves dipping the steel in tanks of hydro-chloric acid and then rinsing in progressive steps to remove iron oxide from the hot mill. Highly corrosive environments like this play havoc with MCC rooms and DCS/Control rooms in these areas. The temper mill, pickle lines, and control centers all benefit from HBOS solutions.
